Is this woven leather or woven cloth?

Woven cloth: a jacquard textile loomed with the pattern in the thread, then mounted over a genuine leather build. If you are after intrecciato-style woven leather strips, we do not make that shoe, and it is better you know before ordering. If what you want is woven texture with structure, cloth jacquard holds its pattern sharper than leather weave and repairs more gracefully at the edge.

Do woven shoes work with tailoring?

Yes, by colour: the coal pairs sit under a charcoal or navy suit without raising an eyebrow, while olive and crimson belong with separates, linen, and festive tailoring. The brogue halves of this line are the dressier option; the full formal bench sits at men's dress shoes. If your dress code is liturgy-strict, plain black calf beats any weave.

Will the jacquard fray at the edges?

The panels are finished into the seams of the build, so there is no raw cloth edge to catch. Fraying in normal wear is not something these show. The one habit to avoid is dragging the weave against rough masonry, which no shoe upper enjoys.

Which colours does the Texo line come in?
